So right now i have a hp compaq 6300 pro sff with an i5 3470 in it.
Due to looking to get a new computer for gaming i was wondering since the cpu is fairly decent, can i just remove it and put into another compatible motherboard?
What is your current MB? Why do you want to toss it?
Its a hewlett-packard 339a from a hp compaq 6300 pro sff. The main reason is because the computer itself can only have a 240 watt psu due to size and i have no clue if the motherboard can use more than 240 watts. The graphics card can not draw much power from the pci slot. Although i'm planning on using a 1050ti so that wouldnt be a large problem.
