Every game crashes after some time

Hey all,

I am suffering from this very annoying problem which crashes every game that I play.

I does not seem to matter if it is a new game or a very old game. So variety from XCOM 2 to Medal of Honor Breaktrough... I have done things as: driver updates, windows updates, bios resets, overclocking and no overclocking... But everything seems to be a miss at this point.

So mostly of the time a game crashes to some extent. Meaning, a game crashes by freezing most of the time, but the sound on the background continues. And the weird thing is that the sound does not freeze. So it just continues like you were playing the game, but the video stops at that point. Every game has a different way of telling me what is wrong. But if I search for these errors they all point out to driver updates. But I already did those... With no succes, obviously.

Oh and 1/10 crashes results to a BsoD with the message: Video Schedular Internal Error.

My specs are as followed:


  • AMD Ryzen 5 1600
    ASRock AB350
    MSI 6GB D5 GTX 1060 Gaming X+ 6G
    DDR4 16GB 3000-15 Vengeance LPX

What is the power supply brand and model? Did you try a new Windows setup to rule out any driver issues? BIOS update on the motherboard? Test with one RAM stick at a time? Test with another video card? Were you overclocking the system when the issue started, especially the video card?

Answering your questions as following:


    Power Supply: Sharkoon WPM600 Bronze, 600 Watt
    Windows setup: Had multiple setups, all relatable to the same error. With or without updated drivers.
    BIOS: Was updated the moment I installed the board to ensure good stability for my CPU
    One RAM Stick: Yes, no prevail.
    Other Video Card: Yes, no prevail.
    Overclock: CPU has run overclocked and at normal settings. Still makes no difference. The videocard is out-of-the box in use. So no software was used to upgrade/downgrade the card.

I have read some things about faulty HDD. I am planning on buying a new one, because at the moment, I use two different (and old) HDD in my newest system. Because of budget reasons obviously.

Maybe it could be one of my HDD that makes the error occur. But the HDD which is faulty in my eyes, has nothing installed on it. It only holds family photos. So a game should not be interfered with this drive, or am I missing something here?
