how much gb of ram gigabyte 970AG43 can run?

how much gb ram I can run on my gigabyte 970AG43 mobo. bt the problem is my mobo can't run 8gb of ram. it is only running 4gb of ram though I have 8gb!
what I should do?

What is your CPU, are you using a stock cooler?
What operating system are you using? And if it is windows, is it 32bit or 64bit?
What RAM sticks to do you have? How are they configured in your motherboard?

970AG43 can hold up to 32GB. When you say "can't run 8gb" define can't run... no boot, or other 4gb isn't recognised etc?
