They are both poor, the 4GB is 'better' but not in any useful or measurable way, by the time you need more than 2GB of video memory the card will be crawling anyway.
Unless desperate right now, save more, or go secondhand, a 750ti, will perform well enough.

at the same price you'd may as well get the 4GB, it'll not be bad at 720p, just not awe inspiring.
