Hi guys I'm currently trying to upgrade my PC that has been with me for quite a while now. If I remember correctly it has AMD A6-6400k APU as a processor and I forgot the what the motherboard is but I think it was Gigabyte. My GPU is Nvidia GTX 1050 2gb. Need a mobo and cpu gaming combo fast!

That would be acceptable. Buy RAM that is sold as a set. Don't buy 2x of a single DIMM part number, but buy a single part number that is a set of two DIMMs. The manufacturer has tested those two DIMMs together and they are guaranteed to be compatible with each other. The i3 won't be significantly faster than the G4560. Personal choice there.

Here's what I got from some research:
Motherboard: MSI B250M Pro-VD
Processor: Intel Core i3-7100
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 4gb DDR4 -2400 mhz CL16 (x2)

Is this acceptable?

So it would be a better budget choice to choose the G4560? Would it affect the overall performance or not? Sorry for the barrage of questions I am still quite new to choosing my own parts.

Another choice is Ryzen 1200 and B350 board. Slightly more money than the setup above, but with Coffee lake just released, if you want to upgrade later, you'll be stuck on the kaby lake chips. At least with Ryzen, you should theoretically be able to drop in a ryzen 2 or ryzen 3 cpu down the road.

The other advantage is that the 1200 is a true quad and will be slightly faster than the pentium. If you get a B350 board, you should be able to overclock the 1200 as well, which would turn it into a little monster for games that should even handle up to a gtx 1060 6gb or maybe even a 1070 if you upgrade your gpu later.
