what game genre do you perfer?

I grew up playing on my dad's C64. When I got my first PC, I started playing games like Doom and Decent. Because of this my favorite genre is FPS. I just enjoy running around with a rocket launcher and turning people inside out. There is a guy at work who plays on PC as well, but only RPG games. He plays no FPS at all. We keep talking about what games we enjoy that we have in common, and only can come up with Diablo 2. (Now to find the time off together...) I agree with the previous answer, there is no best genre. Everyone is different, FPS, RPG, open world, etc. Best is what you enjoy.
