My issue is that when I play certain games after about 45 min to an hour my games will freeze then crash. So far i've only had this issue with GTA V and Escape from Tarkov. To remedy these errors I have done the following to try and fix it.

Re-seat RAM modules
Reformat multiple times to base windows 10
Mem test 86 on 16 GB of RAM (no issue)
multiple burn in tests consisting of prime95, furmark, and burnintest

Here are my computer specs
Case: Cooler MAster HAF 912
Motherboard: Asus P8z77-v LK
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.2GHz (OC)
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws 16Gbs @1600
GPU: ASUS RX480 DUAL 4GB
PSU: Corsair HX850

I don't really know what to try next so i'm hoping I can have some input on this from the community. Thank you

Id drop any overclock you have and double check temps on CPU and Video card while running games. I'm pretty sure prime95 is outdated and shouldn't be used fyi. If that doesn't work, barrow a video card from somewhere and see if you get the same issue.

In fact that motherboard might have an hdmi for its on-board gpu.....maybe try that, even though you get terrible performance, it will help troubleshoot your video card.

I removed my OC and set my BIOS back to their default settings. I also tried booting with each one of my RAM sticks and one of them gave me issues. The system would turn on then turn off then turn on and stay on while not outputting anything.

Interesting, double check to make sure its the stick and not that specific ram slot. Either switch sticks or avoid that slot, possibly replacing the mobo. In tandem you can run the system on minimum ram and see if that has alleviated the previous issue?

So I went into my system and started to check the same issue I had with the RAM. I replicated the same test with swapping out a good stick and the supposedly bad one (with 2 good dimms in the adjacent slots). Much to my surprise the one I thought was bad in working now and all 16GB are detected. I will start testing now to see if my issue persists. I think it may be the OC the more I think about it.

So I ran mem test 86 for 9 hours and I did not have a single issue so I think we can rule out RAM as an issue.
