GPU Bottleneck and CPU Overclock

Hey guys,

So real quick. I have an Asus 1050ti (4gb) and an overclocked AMD FX-8320 @ 4.6ghz.

According to The Bottlenecker, my GPU is bottlenecking my CPU by 13%.

My question is, if the GPU can't keep up with the CPU, should I be clocking down my CPU to, say, 4.0-4.2Ghz?

My theory behind it is if the CPU runs a little slower, than the GPU can keep up a little more.

Please correct me if I am wrong!!!

Any info will be sincerely appreciated :)

No lol. First off that bottlenecker thing is in my opinion next to useless, depending on the game your cpu may bottleneck that 1050 ti. Slowing down the CPU will in no way increase gpu performance. So undercloking your cpu best case would do absolutely nothing, worst case it will reduce performance in cpu heavy games.

Hi Bro!

Would be helpful to have a bit more info about your system.
More specs in this case.
