i7 broadwell a good cpu?

Solution
well that is the best CPU you can use on that motherboard. But you're paying a premium for no good reason. If you want to keep that board then go on ebay and look for used CPUs not new in box. You can pick up a i7-4790K for around $200 used on ebay.

Otherwise save your money and just plan on doing a full upgrade in the future instead.

ya I think ill wait a year or two longer and upgrade then, this board and cpu still kicks azz. no problems with any games, I have the i5 4690k overclocked easily to 4.4ghz 1.25 volts, cooling the cpu with a corsair h100i v2 liquid cooler.
