I have just fitted a working RX480 to my Rampage II Extreme but it will not display anything. I have updated the BIOS to 2101 but no difference. Everything works with other low spec display cards. Help please.

Try changing the PCI ROM Priority setting from "EFI Compatability ROM" to "Legacy ROM" on the "Boot" tab of the BIOS, and get back to me...(I think it's the boot tab) If not, check the other tabs... Also, please post full system specs...

Thank you for responding. However, I do not have this option in the BIOS. I have looked in all the tabs.

The BIOS is version 2101, dated 09/19/2011. BIOS setup is AMI v02.61
Processor Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.8GHz 12GB memory
Graphics RX 480 4GB

Is this what you need?

Another thought - the only way I can get into the BIOS is by putting the low spec card in and taking the RX480 out. I don't know if this has any bearing on the issue?

Have you plugged in the 6-pin power to the RX480? Also, what is your PSU specs? Could be a PSU issue. Have you tried a different PSU?

Thank you for the response. Yes - the 8 pin power is plugged in and I get a blue light beside it on the RX480. I have three 8 pin connectors from the PSU and have tried them all. However, I will try another PSU next.

Well, the saga continues.
The power supply is fine and I have found several PCIe settings to alter. However, it still does not work.
Other cards work OK on this board and the RX480 works in other machines.
I am beginning to think that there is some basic incompatibility here?
