Hello
I have a major problem that all gamers can agree on...Ping Spikes! or lag in general..

I've been having random ping spikes lately and it's really frustrating having those spikes while playing games. I was hoping for a solution to fix this problem.

I've tried rebooting my modem/router by unplugging the power cord for like 20 seconds and I still get those ping spikes. My router is in the basement and my PC is upstairs, but I didn't have any lag problem before until like a couple days ago. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Is it ping or lag? A ping spike will of course increase your ping, and things can get choppy as the server and you try to sync up again. It's network related and can have many causes. Someone on the network starting a stream or something like that. Lag tends to be PC related. The CPU throttling down due to heat or some other issue. It's not network related at all. I ask because you used both terms, so I'm not sure you've ID'd the problem. You need to figure out what your issue is so you can fix it.

And you are the only one with eyes onscene.

You need to start keeping a log:
Exactly when it happens. Not "every few minutes", but exactly, down to the second.
What else is going on. On your system and the rest of the house
WiFi interference with neighbors?
Where is the actual ping spike happening? Between you and the router, or elsewhere?
