Heatsink problems help?!

I have a b350m-a motherboard and ryzen 1300x cpu with the stock cooler. I'm trying to install the heatsink but I'm having great difficulty! I screw 1 screw in, and the other 3 won't reach the motherboard. I've tried screwing them in bit by bit but still no luck. Not sure if in doing anything wrong?

I suspect you are doing something wrong. I just built a similar Ryzen 3 1200 machine w/stock cooler. You have to just get each screw started first while putting some pressure on the cooler to hold it against the socket. Once they are all started, then screw them in, in a diagonal pattern.
