Should I go with intel or amd ryzen?

In my current cart I have a ryzen 3 1200 with a gtx 1060 6gb. This is going to be a budget build 800 or less (includes monitor) and I'm wondering if I should go with intel since im just gaming. I heard that intel is pretty greedy for money and I don't want to spend a lot for a cpu.

On a budget Ryzen is currently better, since most Z370 boards cost more than pretty much all of the B350/A320 boards for Ryzen. Ryzen 3 1200 is still a great CPU and I doubt you'll see much of a difference going with a lower end i5 or i3, even with the new 8th generation processors.
