Motherboard: ASUS prime Z270-A
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
Ram: 2x8gb Corsair Veangence RGB 3000k
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
OS: Windows 10 64 bit

Ok, so this is a new PC build. I have managed to install all drivers ASUS provided on the disc that came with the motherboard, except the Intel Network Adapter drivers. When I download them the system asks to reboot but when I come back the the startup program the drivers still have not been installed.

I tried downloading the most recent driver from ASUS's website onto a USB and installing from there but I get a message saying there are no Intel Network Adapters in the stystem.

I checked device manager and instead of listing the Network Adapters it just have other devices>unknown device listed.

I am currently trying to download the most recent drivers from ASUS for all motherboard components, updating those other drivers, then checking the Network Adapter to see if it is recognized. In BIOS the Intel Network adapter is set to enabled.

Solution
Solved the problem by installing drivers dierectly from Intel's website. Man ASUS sucks with providing necessary drivers. Their website was no help and still haven't heard back from their help desk.

I uninstalled the unknown device and rebooted the system. The Network adapter now lists Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) 1219-v. I still cannot connect to the internet. The Ethernet port in the back has both LEDs lit, on yellow (left/top) and one orange (right/bottom).
