Router 10 times slower than modem

I have a ASUS AC5300 and the modem arris sb6190. When directly connect from the desktop to the modem, I get 250+ mbps in download speed, but on the router only 20-25mbps... help me please! thank you

Try a different cable if you have not done so yet and if that fails I would suspect a problem with the router hardware with that poor of a throughput using a wired connection.

In that case, contact ASUS support for an RMA if resetting the router and updating to the latest firmware doesn't cure the problem.
