Hi guys,

About to take the plunge and purchase the components for my first gaming rig, can I please get some final comments for assurance before buying:

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZdkWgL

I need a new monitor to replace my old tv but have no idea what to get - 1080p sub £200-£250... Any suggestions?

Edit: Also re the OS - I plan on creating a bootable usb (as no optical drive) - am I in essence buying the windows 10 dvd for the license key only or is there a better way to do this? (sorry if this is a dumb question)

Thanks in advance

Changed the psu and gave you 2 monitor options. My choice of budget k&m :

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor (£179.93 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (£95.62 @ Box Limited)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£140.40 @ Aria PC)
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£86.96 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£51.99 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Dual Series Video Card (£383.94 @ Aria PC)
Case:...
Parts seem compatible to me, good build overall, but I hope you won't be expecting a perfect 144 FPS gaming experience from this machine, but it'll do 60 FPS very nicely.

As for the OS, you could use Kinguin. Now, most people here will run me over for saying Kinguin is a valid choice, but I frankly don't think it's as dangerous as some people might state it to be. You can use that to buy only a license key, and use that to activate your Windows.
