Computer Running slow after installing a hard drive

I bought a seagate 3TB drive a few days ago, and ever since I installed it I have had terrible lag spikes in games, sometimes down to 6 fps, when before I installed It I was having 150-200 fps. I have 3 drives, a Samsung SSD as the primary boot drive, another older 500gb hard drive, and now the seagate drive. I took the 2 cables from my dvd drive, and plugged them into the hard drive because I didn't have the cables (just ordered more) the only thing I did was install it and format it, and it has been slow ever since.

I found the issue, it was a stupid mistake, I moved a wire into the cpu fan and it was running hot. I got it fixed. Thanks for the reply though.

I found the problem, forgot the password to my first account. But I was stupid and moved a wire while I was installing it. And the fan hooked the wire and got stuck. So the cpu got too hot and was running slow. Thanks for the reply though!
