Increasing fan speeds w/out using software

Hello folks,
I am seeking the knowledge of PC hardware experts, with regards to helping me increase fan speeds WITHOUT using software.

I have two Pure20 200mm diameter brushless (and silent) fans. I am using them in a most unorthodox manner. I have built a DIY hobby airbrush spray booth, and these fans are built into the housing.

They draw air towards the back wall of the booth, pulling air/paint through a household furnace filter. Air is ducted out the back of this booth, and channeled outside my garage via a dryer hose.

Using only the fan’s red and black wire, the fans are receiving 12V, proper ample current. I am NOT currently connecting the yellow (control??) wire.

Is there any means by which I can use that yellow control wire to speed-up the fans, thus increasing airflow? If so, how does one accomplish this speed increase? What do I connect to that yellow wire, so as to control fan RPMs?

Thank you for reading my question, and of course, any knowledge shared/passed along is greatly appreciated!!

Kindest regards,

Well this is a first for me.

The way I am looking at is is you have fans which just has a power cable providing them the power they need, no fan controller. As there is no fan controller the fan would just run at full speed all the time.

A fan controller, which is usually built into the PC would allow the fans to be controlled.

Thats something that I have in mind

You could find a transfer cable which would provide power from a wall outlet to the controller instead of a PC Powersupply, plug the fans into the controller connector and you would potentially be able to control...

Normally you would control them from the BIOS of the computer through the mother board but this may work
