Hi guys.
Just a question.. I'm trying to build a budget gaming rig. The usual G4560 1050ti/rx480 combo but do you think it would be more viable now to get a used DDR3 based system instead of DDR4? The reason is mainly due to the pricing of DDR4 RAM now. It's absolutely insane. I live in the Philippines btw so I may not get the prices right, but a stick of 8GB DDR4 costs roughly a hundred plus dollars right now it's unreal. You could buy a CPU with that money! Then factor in the rest of the build such as the increased price of the G4560 (same price of a used i7 2600) to go with it and you end up with a build that isn't exactly budget anymore.
So I was thinking maybe go with a used i7 2600k instead. I know some bundle deals of about 250$ that will get you an i7 2600k/nonk, 8-16gb ram (depending on the seller) and an h77 or lga 1155 board and be done with it. Then use the remaining cash for a brand new GPU. Do you think that's a good deal as well?
I do have the budget for a new ddr4 system but those RAM prices are just downright unjustifiable.
