Today my PC had some major issues and I’m not sure what is causing it/how it can be solved. I’m no computer expert so don’t be using any crazy terms with me but I’d say I know quite a bit more than average.

PC specs:
-fx 6300 (overclocked to 2 gHz)

-r9 270x (used to be overclocked, stopped overclocking it about a month ago)

-asus m5a97 LE R2.0

-I forget exactly what GPU driver I’m using (can’t boot up to check) I’m pretty sure it’s amd 17.7.2

-in steady use for about 2 years now, mostly gaming. CSGO, Rust, rainbow 6 siege, PUBG ect.

-anything else about the PC you want to know, ask me.

I bought it off my brother for $250 about two months ago, because he was upgrading. Since then I’ve been having issues every once in a while where I would get a blue, pink, orange, red or grey screen crash, with vertical or horizontal lines. I backed off the overclocking on my GPU and it started happening much less frequently but still sometimes. Just today, though I was playing fortnite and I had a extremely weird crash. There were colourful artifacts on the screen like lens flares or fireworks, and my PC froze. Then more artifacts were in the background. It was like a randomized checkerboard, mostly white but some other colours in there too (https://imgur.com/gallery/p4Smo). I restarted my PC and it all seemed good until I tried to open the game again. The same artifacting, this time a bit worse and without the colourful fireworks, just the checkerboard. I restarted again and tried to open another game, rainbow 6 siege. On launch, I would get the same artifacting and then the game would crash. Here are some videos of what it looked like(https://youtu.be/efqpyfid6QY) (https://youtu.be/9OOwUsqEP6A) . I waited a few hours and booted back up and now I’m getting the artifacting without even opening anything, and even before windows opens, on the ‘press f2 to enter BIOS’ screens. I’m sure it isn’t a virus, it must be a MOBO or GPU right? How can I fix this please help.
