Need advice on computer case prongs and how to effectively pinch them to take off a piece of the case

I wasn't sure where to post this since it's such an oddball question, so here we go.

Basically, my computer case is a little shoddy, and I recently made a lot of optimizations to it.
I noticed that the top piece could not come off no matter what I tried. It has 6 little prongs that you pinch in order for it to come out of the socket. No luck, as some are damaged and I'm hardly able to pinch them.
Here's a bit of a diagram to show the pain I'm dealing with.

Is there any tool in particular that could help me out with those prongs that are annoying as hell?
I need to take the top off so that I can fit in two fans that are most definitely needed to prevent overheating.

The case in particular is the Thermaltake N21 .

Thank you :)

Pliers should do it. And if you want to do it because you want to, fine.

BUT, start from the start, You can fit 2 120mm intake and 1 120mm exhaust, that should be enough for 99% of users, more fans doesn't not always = better cooling.

In this case you currently, assuming everything is populated and assuming in at the front out at the top/back, have positive pressure. This means that you are only getting air coming in through the front fans, in a nice directed flow, and through the filters. This is good.

If you added two more exhausts, the case would be at negative pressure (compared to ambient), and you'll be sucking dust in through every tiny crack, it may not improve cooling in the short term, will decrease cooling in the medium term as dust settles everywhere, and increase noise all round.

I do need help with negative/positive pressure inside of a case. I was never able to look into that.

In my current situation, I only have 1 exhaust fan (that exerts to the back of the PC... good for your idea). Nothing takes in air and puts it into the PC. I presume this is very bad and is also why my temperatures are reaching the near-maximum when under load.

I will most definitely consider putting two 120mm fans on the top that intake air.

Will this lead me with positive or negative pressure?

NO do not put intake at the top. Your case has positions for 2 x 120mm intake at the front, use these, then you will have positive pressure.

If you intake and exhaust near the top of the case, no fresh air will reach the bottom of the case, i.e. the GPU.

Ahhh.. I see now. That actually makes sense. The exhaust will suck out the fresh air before it reaches the bottom.

Okay, I'll keep note of that.

Any 120mm fans you can suggest? Cheap and effective is my intent, and I need 3.
