Im looking for a Cpu for around 400 Dollars that im gonna mostly game on, but can also stream Overwatch without me feeling any form of lag.

Ive been looking around myself but i cant decide on what to get so i want you guys input on what is the "best" 400 Dollar Cpu on the market atm.

My total cost budget for Cpu/Mobo/Ram is around 868 Dollars

Seems like you guys are really determined on the new 8700k.

I was myself debating on buying either the 7700k or the Ryzen 1700.
Seems like im going for 8700k then Thanks

16gb ram should be enough for what i do atm.
Atx is fine i got the Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 5.

Wow...Thats an exact figure $868...Tight squeeze for an 8700K, decent ish motherboard and Ram...Asus Strix Mobo $160ish and 16GB at roughly $150..You should make it...Mid range mobo's on the Z370 ar around the $140 to $180 and Ram from around $150 for DDR4 3000 Corsair but you have plenty of choice..So you have room to spare if you can find the 8700K at the retail price..

My budget is around 870 but can defiantly go up to 900 if that would make it better

CPU 8700K at $359 - Not in stock
Ram 16GB DDR 4 3000 at roughly $170 (choice of manufactures at this price)

8700k/z370 is the top dog to beat, will be for a while, I'd suspect. However, if using a GTX1060 and/or a 60 HZ monitor, you'd be in the 'must have GTX 1080Ti and 4K monitor' boat :) ( the 8600k seems to offer about 98% of the framerates for $100 less, just as budget info)

I play 1080p 144 hz with a 1060 i am gonna upgrade my 1060 to a 1080/1080ti when i get the money to it but i wanna get rid of my i5 4460 first :D
