I cant decide what to buy a new monitor or a new graphics card. Both are old and low version. I had a box type monitor. My games are lag at high settings. I dont if the monitor or gpu is a prob

Need more details about the full system specs and what games. A monitor would not affect how well the game runs past the resolution are you are running it on. If you have a CRT, that may be good to replace, but if you like the quality of it and it still works OK, there is no need to replace it. The later CTR monitors with flat screens had very good image quality. The major thing was size, weight and power use, not so much image quality that caused them to be replaced.
