Hello everyone,
i am building new(used) gaming pc and i want to hear ur opinions about these two configurations:

First: CPU:Intel i5-2500k
MOBO:GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3
RAM:8GB DDR3 1866mhz Fury HyperX

Second: CPU:FX-8320
MOBO:Asus M5A88-V EVO
RAM:8GB DDR3 1866mhz Fury HyperX

I want to overclock both cpus. Will i be able to do that with both motherboards?
Can you just tell me which combo is better for gaming, and overall stuff.
I know that intel i5 is older, but how it compares to fx.

Any informations are welcome!!!
Thank you!

Solution
Try to get a Z68 or Z77 motherboard for overclocking. If you can get it for a decent price look for an i7 like the 2600/2700.

The i5-2500k is actually stronger per core than the FX-8320. In fact, the 8320 might hold back the power of the video card you're going to buy. I'd suggest you go with the i5 and a decent cooler for OC.

Yeah,so you think i can overclock 2500k with this board quite well?
Well, for the gpu...idk...i might get R9 280X.
What about new titles that use multiple cores? Will 2500k crush 8320 here too? Because i plan to use this for gaming.

Not that well, it's not a great gaming mobo so you should be careful, don't plan on crazy overclocks.
The i5 will still perform better it's definitely the better buy. For the video card you can go higher then the r9 280x.

One more stupid question...
The ram on this motherboard is limited only to 1333 mhz.Is that bad?
What do u think, how well will i be able to oc this cpu?

I think 1333MHz RAM is fine for you.
