Best 6+2 PCI-E wiring for 980 SLI configuration

I have an EVGA 980 SC GPU and I'm looking at picking up a second one for SLI configuration. My issue is that my PSU has 4 x 6+2 PCI-E outputs; however each GPU requires 2 x 6pin PCI-E power connections, and my motherboard's PCI bus requires 1 x 6pin PCI-E power connection. I think I have enough wattage (850) available to make everything happy, but I'm not sure what the best way is to cable it. In other words, I only have 4 x 6+2 plugs available, but I need 5 for this configuration.

Is it ok to use 2 aftermarket dual 6+2 cables to power my GPUs instead of 4 single 6+2 cables? Is there any problem with using these?

Are there other, better, wiring options?

Build:
Asus Maximus V Extreme MB w/ 3770K CPU
OCZ-ZX850W PSU
EVGA 980 SC GPU
16GB (4x4) 2133 RAM

The motherboard connection (usually 4+4 or just 8-pin) is not the same pin-out as the 6+2 PCIe connection. They are different. Jamming the wrong connector into your motherboard can damage it permanently.

You should be fine using the existing 4 6+2pin connections and your GPUs. There is a separate and distinct cable for powering the motherboard (along with the larger 24-pin connector).
