Hello guys!
For a few days now I have been getting very high ping spikes through my router for about ten seconds at a time every ten minutes or so, I am using a wired connection to the router. I have an Archer C5 router but I have also tried with another router and have the same problem. When I am connected directly to the modem, this does not occur. I have tried changing the DNS settings on my PC as well as checking MTU, I can pass packets of up to 1472 bytes, I have 1500 set on my router config. I have not the faintest idea of what could be causing this.
I personally do not think my issue is modem or ISP related because I get absolutely no spikes when I am connected to my modem, this only occurs through a router.
If anybody has any possible solutions for my problem I would greatly appreciate the help, thanks for reading.
Note: I have also tried various firmwares, tried stock and DD-WRT on two separate routers.
