I'm planning to upgrade 2 of my PCs so that they can handle 4K content.
4K requires a 7th generation Intel CPU, 6GB RAM, HDMI2.0a, HDCP 2.2,
The specs also require a "200+ Series motherboard that supports SGX", which is actually a CPU feature - Software Guard Extensions must be supported on both CPU and Motherboard).
So, my question is, do AMD Ryzen 1600x or 1700x support these specifications. The AMD website is terribly scant on CPU feature details...

Intel® AES New Instructions Yes
Secure Key Yes
Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) Yes
Intel® Memory Protection Extensions (Intel® MPX) Yes
Intel® OS Guard Yes
Intel® Trusted Execution Technology ‡ Yes
Execute Disable Bit ‡ Yes
Intel® Boot Guard Yes
The motherboard I am considering is the ASRock Z370 Extreme4 if I have to go Intel. There is no AMD Z370 Extreme4 so I have to do some more research on the AMD boards.
With the current pricing and lack of availability, now would be a good time to dump Intel all together. I'm also planning to upgrade my main PC to Threadripper next year too... So Intel are really shooting themselves in the foot.
