What would be the best headset for PUBG and Overwatch?

I am thinking about Corsair Void or HyperX II/Revolver/Revolver S...

Are those good?

What is better?

Is 7.1 dolby used for any games on the market now or the ones I mentioned?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I would say the Corsairs are going to have better sound quality, but to be fair, look in same price range. The Void is like half the price of the HyperX Cloud II.

There are other factors to consider though, like fit and comfort, especially if you wear glasses. For this reason I recommend you try them on to compare if you can, even if you can't listen to them.

So Corsair is a good buy then? What do you guys have?

Let's just say they have consistently good reviews, whereas sometimes I hear people that bout Clouds say they don't like the sound.

I'm a bad one to ask on which headsets I use though, because at 59, I don't play online anymore, so don't need a mic. Unless you absolutely HAVE to have a mic, I would have steered you toward headphones instead.

I don't know why, but some that say they have no use for a mic end up buying a headset anyway. In fact the guy today on one forum that I suggested buy headphones becasue he said he didn't need a mic, bought the HyperX Clouds and he doesn't like the sound quality.

Me personally, I use Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 80 OHm headphones. They are ultra comfortable, very durable, and have great sound quality. If you end up with a headest that has issues on sound quality due to needing a mic and having to shop in a certain price range though, to a degree you can fine tune them with a decent EQ tool.

You can get both of these free and they work great on anything from Vista to W10.

Equalizer APO
https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/

Peace UI
https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/

Peace UI is just an extension for Equalizer APO that allows you to use it within a convenient GUI. It was originally made to be used with text editing, which is quite a bit more of a hassle. Both of these work flawlessly I find and are very low resource use.

One of the things Equalizer APO is great for is boosting appropriate frequencies to hear enemy footsteps easier in mp games. By default the Peace UI shows only about a dozen bands, but you can keep adding bands until you get over 30 bands, and each band can be set to whatever frequency you choose instead of the default.
