hi guys,
i just bought the 4k monitor. Actually i aim aorus gtx 1070 since my pc build base on gigabyte aorus. Here, i miss the freesync that only work for AMD gpu.
My question is, its ok me to go for GTX 1070 or need to buy AMD GPU?

Solution
I still think it a bit silly. You don't need any kind of syncing for console, even thou you can use it on the PS4 pro. Syncing for pc is way more important. You should of just got a Gsync monitor for your GTX card or an AMD GPU so then you could use Free-sync with the monitor.

I think your decision is rather confusing and counter productive..

a 1070 is not strong enough for 4k , even a gtx 1080 ti is not good enough with higher settings

freesync is a good idea, in effect you need two vega 64 cards for 4k to have decent fps in most newer games and have any hope of higher settings

unless all you want to do is run csgo or overwatch return the monitor and get a good 1440p one for your 1070

i dont buy that monitor for syncing with ps4 pro.. the 4k monitor is listed as one of the best budget choice for ps4 pro.. i read that in here along time ago before bought it..
now i build new pc and think want to use same monitor.. yeah u rite i confusion with my choice cause i want gtx but it not supported with freesync..

since u mention syncing for pc is more important then i decide go for AMD gpu rx vega 56.

thank for advise and make my choice better

Well from what i have researched online the PS4 is compatible with Free-sync (on paper) as it has an AMD GPU but as you can't access the control panel (like you would on pc) i don't know how that works.

Also why would you buy a Free-sync monitor that is for a PC AMD Free-sysnc capable GPU of which is for gamers that have a GPU capable of playing at a high variable frame-rat and this technology is to stop tearing at these variable frame-rates. We used to have to be at a fixed frame-rate to avoid tearing but now with the correct hardware you can play at whatever frame-rate you want and avoid the annoying tearing if you also have the monitor to go with that hardware.

Your best bet is to buy an AMD Free-sync ready GPU then just stick your console into the monitor then switch between the inputs whenever you want to game on whichever device.
