need suggestion for a new graphics card

Hi friends,
i need to upgrade my graphics card. below are the current specs

core i3 2120 3.3 ghz
8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz
intel dh61ww mother board
sapphire radeon hd 6670 1 gb ddr5 graphics card

i only play pes 2018. when i check pes 2018 settings it says 'OK' against everything. but when i launch the game it throws a warning saying vram is not enough and i wd expect error in the game. That is because pes 2018 needs min 2gb vram. Though im able to play the game @ low settings im getting a bit of lag. So i want to upgrade my graphics card alone (i dnt want to upgrade the processor and motherboard for now). So plz suggest me a good graphics card which can replace my existing sapphire 1gb ddr5. ( it is ok if im able to play the game @ medium settings but WITHOUT LAG)

upgrading your graphics card alone may not help. your system is too out of date. you don't meet the minimum requirements for that game. sorry, time to save up for a new system.

ya as per reqs my specs doesn't meet the min requirement..but there are plenty of folks out there who are playing pes 2018 @low and medium settings without lag with i3 2120 3.3 ghz..i wanted to know which is the latest 2 gb ddr5 graphics card that wd suit my config..thanks

Anything from Nvidia under x50 tier (e.g. GT 1030 & lower) or x60 from AMD (e.g. RX 550 & lower) is garbage and not worth getting for ANY gaming. Those low-end cards are best suited for home theater use at best. Don't get anything less than a GTX 1050, or an RX 460/560. That GT 710 you listed is slow as molasses and barely any better than your i3's onboard graphics. As for the rest of your system, if you do end up needing a CPU upgrade, you don't have to go all out and spend big $ on a whole system upgrade. You can get something decent like an i5 2500/i7 2600 etc for dirt cheap nowadays (usually under $60) that will drop into your existing motherboard.

thanks for the suggestion. so ii i understand correctly i can buy the gtx 1050 now and fix it in my intel dh61ww board straight away along with i3 2120. later on i can upgrade to i5 on the same board..

also there are many versions in this gtx 1050 like 1050 ti, mini 1050ti..which one should i buy? also which manufacturer is better zotac, gigabyte, msi

ok im planning to go for for either gtx 1050 or gtx1050ti...whats the difference between gtx 1050 and gtx 1050ti..will my i3 2120 bottleneck these cards? also will corsair 450 watts psu which using nw will be ble to handle these cards?

Friends,

I have to choose between zotac 1050 mini or zotac 1050ti mini (going for zotac as i feel there is no overheating issue). Even in Zotac website they have mentioned that 1050 can run pes 2018 @ 1080p @ high settings. So that meets my requirement.

What I wanted to know is do we need any separate power connector cable to install this cards (both ti and NON ti) in my intel dh61ww mobo? or i will have to just insert thjis card in the PCI express slot and play? please let me know asap..need to buy this asap.

also i just saw the OC version of zotac gtx 1050 at a discounted price now. will it fit in my dh61ww motherboard. asking coz its size is huge and has two fans. please help asap

Hi Friends,

I purchased gtx 1050ti mini and added it to my current config (core i3 2120 3.3 ghz, 8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz, intel dh61ww mother board, corsair vs 450).

But im still getting little bit lag while playing pes 2018 @ medium or high settings. is it because of the CPU bottlenecking my gpu. if you want i can give my msi afterburner stats. let me know how to upload it.

Also, I installed msi after burner software to check the stats and i found that the GPU fan rpm is showing as 0. Is it something we need to worry about? i know that some cards will be designed like this - start spinning after a specific temp has reached. but as per msi afterburner stats, it is still showing a s 0 rpm even after gpu temp crossed 66 degree C.

is something wrong? should i return my card?
