Here's my current PC specs:

Processor: AMD A6-6400K APU
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-HD2
RAM: HyperX Black 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3
GPU: PALIT GeForce GTX 1050 StormX 2GB
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM
PSU: Silverstone ST50F-500W
Case: Cougar something Mid-tower case

Are any of my parts bottlenecking my new GPU? Since the build itself is 3 years old now and I just recently purchased the GTX 1050 without checking for compatibility. Your thoughts matter :) Thanks!

I'd recommend you wait, if your gonna game at the very least get an i5. i3's are for office computers pretty much. Your CPU is on par with the old i5 4460 (shows how far i3's have come)

You need 4 CPU cores and threads to have a comfortable gaming experience even at 60fps medium-high. Don't forget that even thou the CPU will be keeping you pc going it will also be keeping track of what is going on in a game when running (such as player locations and their actions) then your GPU will be demanding resources and passing along the info back and forth to the CPU.

I would really want to experience gaming at higher than 60+ FPS since I have been on low-medium for my entire gaming life. I was planning on upgrading to these:

Processor: Intel Pentium G4560/G600 (Based on availability)
Motherboard: MSI B250M Pro VD/VDH/Bazooka (Based on availability as well and I excluded MORTAR purposely cause of budget reasons)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) 2400MHz DDR4

Would these parts resolve my bottlenecking problems?

So my plan is bad if I want to play multiplayer games like CS:GO, DOTA 2, PUBG?

CS:GO should be okay, Dota 2 maybe and PUBG needs quad core.

My bro has an A10 and he struggles playing PUBG so much but its breezes through single player games.

Its kinda on par with my old i5 4460 i used a few years back, it did okay with Dota 2, CS:GO, TF2 (kinda) but it was also great with LFD2, EVE online and WOW.

The reviews are looking excellent for the i3 8100.

But I only have enough budget for an i3-7100 :(
