With Vega prices through the roof, my option is to get a gtx 1070 or a used 980 ti, (But I only have a 500w psu), Im waiting for either christmas, or my birthday (mid february) Im relatively new to the pc world, (not really) I built my pc last christmas, and I was pretty dumb I guess to upgrade my cpu 2 months later because I thought Id be buying a gpu soon, I have an i5 7500, do you think that might bottleneck a gtx 2070 or something?

Solution
Not sure but even if there is bottleneck it might not that bad. Also at this point we don't really know when volta actually going out to the market. AMD can't even touch nvidia 1080ti with their Vega. Logically nvidia have no reason to rush gaming volta into the market. While Nvidia still got the top spot for several generation before AMD was never this behind nvidia in term of performance.

No way your CPU is a bottleneck. I am running an i7 4770 with a GTX 1070. Games in these days are 90% gpu related. My 2nd PC runs an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (last CPU before the i-series) and Even this CPU is enough for most games with a GTX 770.
