Hello :3
I have a problem with my surround system, when there's sound behind me (on the rear speakers) it also plays on the front speaker, on all of my games.
My surround system is a Logitech Z506 and my sound card is an Asus Xonar DGX, the speakers are connected with the 3.6 mm jacks.
The problem happen regardless of the driver (Asus or Uni drivers).

Solution
I've done some things and the problem seems to be solved.
First I installed the uni drivers (with the option "c-media panel" ).
For 5.1 I only use 6 channels (not 8 like the panels tells you to do with 3D games).
And I configured the speakers with the Windows Speakers Configuration. Now when something is behind me, the front speaker doesn't play the sound, it only plays when there is a noise in front of the camera.

I'm not sure whether this will help, but try the idea. That sound card can handle surround sound output in two different ways. One is if you are actually using a 5.1 surround sound speaker system, and that will send separate signals to each of those six speakers. The other is designed for using earphones, which are normally just 2-channel sound systems. But the card can produce a simulated surround sound effect with headphones, sending all the info to those two ears. MAYBE your card is set to use the simulated surround sound system for earphones, and hence is including a version of the rear speaker signals with the signals sent to the front left/right jack, which is where you might plug in your headphones. This MIGHT also get linked to another feature of the card, I think it indicates that it can automatically detect when you plug headphones into the front panel and switch its output to match that. So, if you plug headphones into the front panel (not only into the rear jack), it may then decide to use that simulated surround system for earphones.

Try this. Unplug your headphones so only the speakers are connected (via the rear panel jacks). Go into the Sonic Studio software and check what it has selected for output device, and ensure it is set to use real 5.1 surround sound through speakers. See if that makes it work the way you expect.

I'll try tomorrow because I'm not home, but what is Sonic Studio software?

The website for that ASUS sound card says that Sonic Studio is a software package that they include with the card on its CD. Or, you MAY need to download it from the ASUS website, using some card serial number or something to establish your ownership of the card. Or, you might find that it already is installed on your machine - some card CD's install such free software at the same time as they install the card device drivers for Windows. So look through your applications already installed, or check in the Windows tool to add or remove software. This version of Sonic Studio is mostly configuration tools to set your card to use the features you want.

The CD doesn't do anything, I registered my sound card but the buggy Asus site tells me to register my sound card (on my account the sound card is registered), I don't know where's the problem ;v;
