Quick backstory. Computer was on with maybe 10-15 chrome tabs in background while running a macro on Nox Emulator, I figured with 16 GB RAM I should have no issues with load. I go out with friends for a couple hours on Thursday and come back to find a dead computer. I try to turn it on to no avail. I used the paperclip test to test the power supply and it powered up the fans and hard drives just fine. I tried the jumper test with the screwdriver on my mobo at the power switch jumpers...no response. I didn't detect any weird smells to suggest smoking or overheating... I contacted Gigabyte for RMA procedure and they informed me that it will take about 2 weeks before I get a new motherboard...I don't have that kind of time, so I am going to just replace the motherboard and use the RMA as a spare should other problems arise in the future. This is the first Gigabyte motherboard that I have witnessed go bad in about 12 different computers I have built in the last decade. I did have some random green screen crashes in the past year but thought it was not something to be concerned about. Are the two events (mobo death and green screen crash) connected?

If there is no obvious reason, just remember it's an electronic item and they can fail at anytime.
