Power supply faults

I experienced faults with my Antec Basiq 500 W PSU (hard drives burned up, voltage spikes). So then I switched to a thermaltake 530 W SE PSU. One month later, my PC is not powering up at all, the PSU fan doesn't spin. Tried changing the power cord, used a different connection. Is it the PSU, or the small chance of anything else?

You really want to replace that PSU with a high quality unit., neither of the last 2 are good units.

My money is on that. If you have a good psu and it fails in the same way, somewhere in your pc is short circuiting, case is the major suspect then. For now, replace it or buy a good one if you can get refund on that thermaltake

Alright, weird thing. Supply randomly started running again after I let the computer sit for a few days.I suspect the problem is in the socket, not the supply.
