I have the AMD parts for my pc build I want to get for black friday.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard

I was wondering if can damage my CPU or any other parts if I overclock my CPU with just using the stock CPU cooler? I heard 16GB Ram could help with overclocking, I am new to overclocking and I basically know nothing about it. I was wondering if I ever want to overclock my CPU would I have to buy a new CPU cooler?

Also black friday is coming round so do you think I should upgrade my parts to anything worth upgrading while they are on sale?

Parts:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor (£189.19 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (£98.80 @ Alza)
Memory: Team - Vulcan 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£119.50 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Storage: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£74.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.95 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card (£497.99 @ CCL Computers)
Case: Corsair - SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case (£49.10 @ PC World Business)
Power Supply: Corsair - RMx 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£78.97 @ Amazon UK)

Total: £1,179.84

I have seen people get multiple SSD's are they worth it?
Would you suggest me to stick to the AMD series or switch over to the intel i7 8th gen CPU's with a custom CPU cooler and switch over my motherboard?

Overall good build, only comment is that psu, 650W+ is better. Do you really need GTX 1080? What monitor do you have? It is overkill for 1080p or 2k gaming. ~250gb SSD is good enough, get more if you have extra money :) OCing with care will not damage anything. As long as you don't put 1.5v on your CPU, you should be fine. coffee lake I7 will be more expensive due to $400 CPU and only expensive Z370 MB available. I won't do coffee lake if buying now.

I have some monitor that it left over in my garage, Unfortunately I do not know the specs for the monitor. The only reason I am getting the GTX 1080 is because I want to get more FPS in my games.

Staying on the ryzen 5 1600 would I need a custom CPU cooler if I wanted to over clock it?

Would you suggest I drop to a gtx 1070 or even a 1060 and get more SSD storage space?

Also for the PSU I was going to get a 620W PSU and somebody on here said that I don't need that much power and a 550W PSU is just fine??

I just found out that "monitor" in my garage is a fake and it is a actual pc... a HP touchsmart pc... thanks mum :/

Monitor
So I need a monitor that would match my 'Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card' I would prefer a 144hz 2560x1440 1ms monitor, I heard it is good to have G-Sync on the monitor or did I hear wrong?

GPU
If I cannot afford buying a monitor for a huge price would it make sense to drop my GTX 1080 to a 1070 or a 1060?

CPU
I know I have the AMD Ryzen series for my CPU and for that I do not need to buy a CPU cooler because the stock one is good enough, even that still lowkey doesn't change the fact that if I could I would change to Intel... I found a deal on Amazon for the i7-7700k at only £281? https://goo.gl/WW6Nf3
It is tempting but the i7 8th gen CPU is only about max £100 more, if it is worth it I am willing to spend about that much money more for the intel CPU, I have heard from many people that even though the Ryzen series is cheaper you might as well go with a Intel series.

PLEASE NOTE I WILL GET ALL OF THESE PARTS ON BLACK FRIDAY AND CYBER MONDAY :)
