Looking for the best free game recording software that does not effect my FPS. I have never really used any of them but recently tried the Razer Cortex and its easy to use but I lose 10+ FPS.
Anyone out there with experience able to suggest a better one?

Your recording software is software right? It runs on the CPU? It's not magic, it will use resources, viewing the rendering of the scene, encoding it, writing it to disk etc. These resources contend with your game for space on the system, so you will always get a hit on game fps unless you have a hardware solution.

Nvidia allow for recording that uses very little power, using hardware on the GPU (it's in the geforce experience software), AMD may have done similar, not sure.

I have used Nvidia ShadowPlay to record gameplay (in Geforce Experience) with good results. Then I un-install it when I'm done. I'm not a fan of GFX because the keyboard shortcuts are the same as the ones I use in Photoshop.
