Can my generic 450w PSU run a EVGA GTX 750 TI?

Hey!
I have this psu:

It is a Shure 450w (sh-450) psu and I was wondering if it could handle a GTX 750 TI (evga)
my current setup is:
Asrock h61m-vg3 motherboard
4gb ram kingston (idk what mhz)
500gb wd hdd (ima buy 1tb soon)

And finally (don't laugh pls)
Intel Celeron G460 1.80ghz processor (I'm buying an Intel core i5 3570)

Well, I just want to use the card a bit until I get the money to buy a new psu and processor.
I know it'll bottleneck. Just wanna know if my psu can handle it.

yes it can

however, seeing that u're planning on upgrading CPU too, i suggest u get a 1050ti instead

and don't worry, both GPU only require at least 300w PSU

[even right now, i'm using my 1050ti with an old 400w PSU]

Just a friendly heads up.
I have a PC with a Pentium G-3258, and a Corsair CX-430 V2 PSU, and used first an EVGA GTX 750Ti FTW, and, a year ago replaced it with a Zotac GTX 1050ti, both GPU draw almost the same energy, the whole system draws 120 watts TOPS from the wall with either of the GPUs, so, it all depends on the CPUs energy draw.

It's not a 450W PSU though. Do you see where there is a 12A under the 12V? That means the 12V rail, the thing that powers the CPU and GPU, it can output (maybe...) a whopping 144W. That's tiny. Even if you do the math and add in the other rails, it can only output ~310W. In short you have a junk PSU that flat out lied to you. I'd replace it before doing anything else to your PC. That includes turning it on.

The good ones with slow motion take place after ~1:10. That's what happens when you "test it". The other thing that happens (possibly.) is a power surge that travels down the wires. It can fry anything that's attached to the PSU. Like the motherboard, drives, etc. You can "test it" all you want, but as I said above, I wouldn't even turn it on ever again.

it won't explode right away imo, since the system will barely use 300w [it can though], but yes, a PSU that is blatantly lies to you must be replaced right away!

something like a CX450M as a replacement would be more than enough for your system

Assuming the label is right, 12A * 12V = 144W. If that's a 35W CPU and a 75W GPU, his system load will be around 120-150W. A lying 144W PSU isn't going to handle that well. It will probably boot into windows just fine, but firing up a game is going to cause a problem.

of course there are better variant out there, but this one should be good for your whole rig (hell my i5 2400 + 1050ti runs fine with 400w as i said at the post above)
if u had more budget, consider on getting a GTX 1060 instead

the 12V are rated for 480w, it'll be more than enough for a 77w CPU + 120W GPU
when u pair it with i5 later on, the 1060 will be much better than 1050ti (since your limiting factor, which is PSU and CPU are gone already XD)

Are you in the USA?

The EVGA white, and x1 series of PSUs aren't known for their great quality. It can work if that's the best that's available to you. But as shown above there is much better quality out there for only a bit more money. The white PSU you posted above isn't even 80+ bronze, while the Seasonic that was linked is 80+ Gold. And has MUCH better internals. Well worth the extra $10-15, though I admit that's after rebate. You don't need a beefy PSU but you do need a quality one. I'm running my ~300W PC on a 450W PSU. But it's a great PSU, not like your "450" at all.
