I'm looking for the most reliable RAM for an iMac 27" 5k. I'm not married to the 8 gigs it comes with. Looking to add 32 gigs for a total of 40 OR simply replacing the 8 with 32. Whichever runs faster.
Any advice is much appreciated. I'm way down the rabbit hole and looking for a light at the end of the tunnel.

For the 2017 model: Use Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules (SO-DIMM) that meet all of these criteria:
PC4-2400 (19200)
Unbuffered
Nonparity

2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM
and for the 2015 model: Use Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules (SO-DIMM) that meet all of these criteria:
PC3-14900
Unbuffered
Nonparity
204-pin
1867MHz DDR3 SDRAM

I'd go for Corsair but Adamanta is fine too. These days all have Life Waranty.
