what cpu for $300

I am in the market for a new cpu to pair with my 1050 ti, now that intel released their 8th gen cpus im quite stuck, i was think about the ryzen 5 1500x but im not sure. I only do gaming... can i please have some suggestions?

If you aren't stuck to AMD because of a mainboard maybe suggest a i7-7700 would fit in the budget. (about 270 euro's here) Or maybe even the new i7-8700 which in dollars should hit your budget mark exactly.

Its packs more punch than needed for that GFX-Card but on the other hand you'll be future proof for quite some time.
