So, I built my first PC and it won't turn on. Yesterday, I would press the power button and it would light up for a split second and nothing would happen. I have no idea what's wrong with it. It would be great if someone helped or could tell me where to get help, could like BestBuy or Frys help me?

Solution

Yes. Replace it with one that is sufficient to properly power your system configuration.
Must be your grossly under-powered 300W Bronze power supply unit.

System Power Supply Requirements for a single NVIDIA Reference Design GeForce GTX 1060
NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 400 Watt or greater system power supply. (Minimum system power requirement based on a PC configured with an Intel Core i7 3.2GHz 130 Watt TDP processor.)
the system power supply must also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 25 Amps or greater
the system power supply should also have at least one 75-Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector. There are some non-reference design cards that require one 150-Watt 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector (e.g. ASUS GTX 1060 STRIX OC 6 GB [ROG STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING], Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Xtreme Gaming 6 GB, MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 3 GB, MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6 GB).

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial specification in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most critical specification.
