I am from India. Titanfall 2 is the first online multiplayer fps shooter that I am playing. I am at level 25 but still I suck too much. I use wireless internet with 50-70 ms ping at speedtest.net. If I had any wired internet option in my location I would have taken it but there isn't any. I get connected to Singapore server in game where it shows 140-200 ms ping at first. After I complete any match my ping report is shown to be fluctuating from 300-400 ms. Game also catagorises it as high ping. I also cant play fighting games with my internet. In Tekken 7 I get 3 network bars matches tops. And even such players are only 10 of them. I mean I can only play against 10 players I see everyday with 3 bars max. Every other player connection is 1 network bar for me. I don't play tekken anymore.
Now I know 350 ms ping is high but my Titanfall 2 game runs smooth and fluent in multiplayer. I run and aim smoothly without lag. I couldn't believe it. I feel NO input delay at all! I would like to know if I really am bad in the game or its my ping disadvantage that fails me. I can shoot non moving targets like AI opponents very easily. When I shoot at the player who moves constantly I miss terribly. I didn't know I was that bad.
So can high ping smooth gameplay can still be disadvantageous like that? If anyone knows about this kindly respond. Thank you.
(P.S. I die more in game than I kill all the time. I cant get more than 7 player kills in 10 minute matches no matter how hard I try. I see an opponent player, I shoot and miss, they shoot and put me down SO FAST! Yet no lag.)
