I have a wired connection to a bt hub 4.
Recently, my connection stopped working, and the only fix for this was to change my speed to 10mbps full duplex. If I change back to auto negotiation, the ethernet cable/port (i dunno) flashes orange almost every second. My link status says the speed is changing in time with that from 100.00mbps full duplex to Not being available, whilst the task bar show's my computer trying to connect, then the connection completely vanishes.
Please help, as i miss those spicy fast internet speeds.

Solution
I had similar problem with certain switches "Manufacturers" + dell cheap teir laptops. Try connecting to other devices and if available try usb -> rj-45 adapter.
If I used auto-negotiation it was 1 GB connection for ~1 minute then 100 MB for an hour or so and then 10 MB ... pull out and put cable again and circle repeats.
Direct connection was fine and adapter also worked with 1GB.
try out middle man switch like this:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122668
or
use gigabyte expansion card or
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833114090

also check if you did not change/update driver, maybe they did break something....

I've bought a new ethernet cable, and I've got a USB to ethernet adapter. Hoping this will fix it.
