(This may be in the wrong place, though try as I might I'm not 100% sure if that can be changed now--apologies!)
Hi, although I like to think I'm at least moderately competent with computers, I'll freely admit to being fairly dumb when it comes to back end stuff like this, so any tips would be great.
I built my own computer last year, and while trying to determine the cause of some odd bugs, I realized my BIOS hasn't been updated or anything since I got the thing. Looking into it, my BIOS version/Date appears to be: "American Megatrends Inc. P2.80, 8/5/2015" (my board is made by ASRock if that helps), and using a tool I found I appear to have the baseline Aptio. The issue is that AMI doesn't have anything on regular Aptio on their site, it's all 4 and V.
My stupid question is this: Do I use those newer BIOS versions like Aptio V to update it, or would that be a great way to break my computer?
