Hey all. I just built a new rig. Originally planned on just using a 500GB 960 Evo. Decided I'd pick up a 250GB 960 Evo for a little extra storage. I already have my O/S, applications and games, everything, installed, updated and ready to go on the 500GB. What would be the best way to transfer just the O/S to the 250GB once installed? Should I just format the 500GB and start over? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you have apps installed, you can not simply move the os.
There are procedures for steam games which will allow you to move games.
The Samsung ssd migration aid does let you exclude large folders from the move.

If you have both a 500gb and 250gb ssd already bought, see if you can return them both in favor of a 1tb ssd.

Or, just install some of your games on the second 250gb ssd.

It is a pain to start all over.

My suggestion is to continue using the 500gb ssd until you start to run out of room.
At that time, buy a HDD if your increased storage needs is large and sequential in nature like video files.
Or, if it is mostly games, buy a 1tb ssd and move all to it.
Use the 500gb ssd elsewhere or sell it.

Appreciate it. I'll just start all over once the 250GB gets here. Thanks.
