yes the intel seems to be much more expensive, but on gaming performance, it'll beat the R5 1600 outright (but if ur schoolwork consist of rendering, editing, and stuff like that , or u want to try streaming too [maybe u're interested], the R5 is a better choice imo

choose whichever path u desire, if u need some tweaking, gimme a holler
both build should be able to handle up to 4k just fine imo
