Hey everyone. So I have two external hard drives that should have a bunch of stuff on them, but won't read in Windows Explorer. They do however show up in Disk Management. Problem is, they aren't showing a File System, and they are also shown as having 100% free disk space.

Without having a drive letter, I'm not sure how I could check it using CHKDSK. And it's not showing as RAW, which I have seen before on other drives. There is just nothing there.

I also tried using HFS Explorer to read it(in case it was formatted for a Mac), but it didn't detect any HFS drives.

Are the drives toast? Or is there something I'm missing? Seems to me like they are corrupted or dead.

Tried multiple computers as well as different cables.
Windows 10 Pro Build 15063

Update: got someone with a Mac to try them, and they read. I had previously tried HFS Explorer on my PC and they didn't read, so I figured I did something wrong. I didn't realize it had to be ran in administrator. I am now extracting the files onto another external (formatted exFAT) using HFSExplorer.

I suppose this is solved and this can be chosen as best answer/solution.
