Does 2gb ram stick+2gb ram stick makes the total ram 4gb? And if yes will my PC be faster than before?

Yes, it will add up to 4GB's worth of memory as long as you have a 64 bit OS. It will help your PC in retrieving your data quicker and hold more data. Although if you want to improve your performance you would have to look into a more powerful Processor and HDD.
