I can't decide whether I should upgrade my i5-6600 to an i7-7700K or if I should upgrade my Corsair H60 cooler to a Corsair H115i.

i7-7700K for better performance (Coffee Lake is not an option).
Corsair H115i for better looks (I have a Corsair Crystal 570X case so i think the H115i would fit nicely in there).

Any opinions?

humm choices, performance or bling, well if you ask 1000 guys,, you will probably get a 50 performance 50 bling, because the under 25 prefer bling :), yes I am teasing..

if those are the choices, 7700K it is.. not a hard decision, you failed to mention issues with cooling.

PS: H60 does not fit 1151 cpu how did you get it to fit in the first place? ref: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h60-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

Thanks for your reply!
If a cooler fits on socket 1150 fits on 1151 as well. I've been using my H60 on my i5-6600 for 2 years now, and it works perfectly fine.

But anyways, I think I'll go for the i7-7700K since I can get it for a really good price.

I study media, so I do a lot of editing/rendering in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

In this case you seem and ideal candidate for a Ryzen. Adobe and most other editing/rendering programs benefit considerably from the higher core count. Games don't.

The reason why I won't go for the R7 is because I had to replace my old B150 motherboard for a Z270X this summer as the B150 board was malfunctioning. So I don't want to spend extra money on another new board when I just got a new Z270X this summer.
