Hey Guys/Gals,

I have been having a weird issue going on with my Crosshair VI board and I'm not sure if it is a bad board, bios issue, or some sort of strange grounding problem. Any help will be super appreciated.

The issue I'm running into (I'll provide a table for a better understanding below) where my system will post at different RAM speeds depending on what slots they are in. I'm currently running the newest bios for the board ver. 1701. I haven't ran into any other issues with the system, it is super soild and fast but I know ryzne chips can benifit greatly from increased ram speeds so I would love to run the memory at what is it rated to run at. Also, I have had this board since ryzen first launch (March 2017)

Memory Module Are: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Memory Kit Model CMD16GX4M2B3200C16 16-18-18-36

Memory Configurations
1 x 8Gb - Slot A1 - POST @ 3200mhz 1.35v
1 x 8Gb - Solt A2 - POST @ 3200mhz 1.35v
1 x 8Gb - Slot B1 - POST @ 2933mhz 1.35v - nothing higher
1 x 8Gb - Slot B2 - POST @ 2933mhz 1.35V - nothing higher

2 x 8Gb - Solt A1 & A2 - POST @ 3200mhz 1.35v
2 x 8Gb - Solt B1 & B2 - POST @ 2933mhz 1.35v - nothing higher
2 x 8Gb - Solt A1 & B1 - POST @ 2933mhz 1.35v - nothing higher
2 x 8Gb - Solt A2 & B2 - POST @ 2933mhz 1.35v - nothing higher

As you can see I can only post at my memory's rated speed if they are only occupying A1 and/or A2. Any other configurations will not go any higher 2933

Solution
That is we know the AM4 MB RAM speed problem, because it is very tricky to oc, like the timing, voltage setting. If you try all, and it does not work out for you, then nothing you can do.

Add one review, they can run the RAM at 3200mhz. Try to find more. https://www.kitguru.net/components/motherboard/luke-hill/asus-rog-crosshair-vi-hero-x370-motherboard-review/

Also Ryzen oc guide, it may help too. http://www.overclockers.com/amd-ryzen-overclocking-guide/
